My 60CSx is acting weird and I have my eye on the new Oregon 550t. Was out with Gillian, and she has an iPhone with the Geocaching.com app on it – very cool – we posted our finds and logs from the field – saved me some after-caching time at home.

Recent Goings On
Been slow caching in the Arizona summer, but it’s starting to cool down and it’s time to pick up the pace. We’re at 629, and it would be nice to get as close to 1000 before the year is out.

Happy Independence Day
Caching has been light. My wife Sharon, and our oldest daughter Gillian went out to a nearby lake to eat lunch and grab a few caches along the way. The day was hot and increasingly humid for Arizona, so our total was a measly 5. But hey, 5 is better than 0, and now we’re only 19 away from 600.

But It's A Dry Heat
OK – so today is the 10th anniversary of moving to Arizona. When we first arrived we didn’t realize how different the heat was from Florida. Yeah, FL was hot – and humid – but there was an ocean to fall into, and a breeze. AZ was – and remains an oven. But I love it.
Anyhow, it is a little rough caching after early morning unless we travel to the northern part of the state, or up to the White Mountains. So my numbers will go down for a while, but I do try to get out on my days off a grab a few.
I’ll keep you posted.
