Olive Oyl, Three Little Pigs, In Vino Veritas

Sharon, Fergie, and I took a trek out to Queen Creek to checkout the Queen Creek Olive Mill. They were packed with people given that they had a a wine tasting along with an art show, and we splurged on several oils, dressings and spreads. While exiting the premises we saw a sign for The Pork Shop, drove down, and got some victuals – hot Italian sausage, KC bacon, and they threw in some brats. This came one day after a drive with Gillian, Nikki, and Kellen to Cottonwood and Arizona Stronghold Winery to pick up the wine they held for us as members of their Club. All in all a gorgeous weekend with a few caches thrown in for fun.

There is a local radiologist who is very active in geocaching and who has hidden quite a few. Some are downright impossible – others are easy but take one on a hike with caches every .10 mile. Today was such a day. 95 degrees and muggy, Sharon, Fergie and I went out along a paved trail and picked up a series that radDad1 placed. Fergie wasn’t happy, but it was a good walk and ran into another team at the last one we grabbed. We chatted with the two ladies who makeup “Wogunhiker”, and then made our way back to the car. Fergie was dragging but relieved not to have to walk any more. Thanks Chad for the enjoyable morning.
